We
aim to make this important part of the process as simple as possible,
so jargon will be kept to a minimum.
However, don't be afraid to ask if you have problems.
FILES
Photoshop
PDD or PDF, JPEG or TIFF
files can be sent, to this address - artwork@planetboo.com
. We do accept other formats, if you're unsure, get in touch.
ALL IMAGES SHOULD BE OF A PRINTABLE DEFINITION.
What this means is if working electronically the image should
be at least 200 dots or pixels per inch.
If you have found a nice image on the internet and want it on a t-shirt,
web images appear at 72 dots per inch.
If you print the image out it will be tiny and not too well defined,
and if you try to enlarge the image it will pixellate, or lose definition.
Most imaging programs will have an option to set the pixels per inch
on artwork, as most decent scanner programs. You'll find them usually
in the SIZE or RESIZE sections of the menu. If you are still unsure,
please e-mail us.
HARD COPY
If all this is beyond you and you just want your picture or
logo that you drew using, no problem. You can send the HARD COPY (artwork)
to us by post and we will scan it. If you are sending original artwork
please make sure you send it in a stiff backed envelope, and if you
want it back please send a SAE with it. Our address can be found on
the CONTACT page.
ARTWORK SERVICE
If you're just not sure what you want, we offer an in house
artwork service. please e-mail us at artwork@planetboo.com
so we can arrange a consultation with you and come up with some ideas.
We will also give you a competitive quote for our service.
T SHIRTS
For full colour prints printed using our sublimation method,
all we need is the image, preferably at the size you want it.
For screenprinted material, if it's a one-colour print, make sure it's
the correct pantone colour. If it isn't, please let us know what colour
you would like it to be.
If you want a t-shirt with more than one colour screenprinted, please
consult us first. You will need to supply the artwork if possible as
a separated file; if you cannot do that, we will endeavour to do it
for you.
BADGES
If you want badges or keyrings, your artwork needs to
fit into a template. You can download the file by clicking on the appropriate
one here. (25MM)
|| (58MM)
If you are using a template, follow these guidelines:
Keep your main image inside the inner blue circle, this is the front
of the badge/keyring.
The space between the inner and outer circles will be visible on the
sides, and make sure there is an overlap of colour into the final zone,
which will mostly be out of sight but slightly visible on the back.
If you are having trouble with the templates, just send us your artwork
as normal and we will sort it out for you.
